The electroplating process is very important for the quality of UHF connectors, especially in the connection process, the poor quality connector electroplating process technology is also difficult to pass.
1. Plating bright nickel layer
It is widely used and relatively cheap plating. It is mainly used for the outer conductor and shell part of general-purpose connectors. It is mostly used for general commercial connectors. It has good corrosion resistance and salt spray resistance. It is not suitable for products with intermodulation index requirements.
2. Bright silver plating
This is a type of plating with the best conductivity. For some high-grade military products must be silver plated. However, electroplating wear-resistant thick hard silver has high cost, and the disadvantage is that after the protective film on the surface is damaged, it is very easy to vulcanize in the atmosphere, turning yellow and black.
3. Plating ternary alloy
This is a copper-tin-zinc alloy with a ratio of 55% copper, 30% tin, and 15% zinc. It is a substitute for silver plating and nickel, and its chemical properties are relatively stable, and it has been widely used in products with intermodulation requirements.
4. Gold plating
The gold layer is relatively stable, not easy to corrode, and its conductivity is inferior to that of the silver-plated layer. Since the thickness of the gold-plated layer directly affects the wear resistance, the thicker the price, the higher the price.
